  • Baltimore Design School Coffee House & Fashion Pop-Up

    Baltimore Design School students present Coffee House: a pop-up with student vendors selling hand-made jewelry, prints and more plus featured student performances. Baltimore Design School is a Baltimore City public transformation school that prepares 6th through 12th grade students for admission to college and careers in the design fields of architecture, fashion, and graphic design.     Dive into the world of rare books at the Peabody Library, see where the lives of Emily Post and Gertrude Stein intersected, sit at the desk of legendary novelist John Dos Passos, and more. Tour meets at the Enoch Pratt Free Library and lasts approximately 90-120 minutes.

    Station North was the first area in Baltimore to receive the State designation as an Arts & Entertainment District. Spanning the neighborhoods of Charles North, Greenmount West, and Barclay, Station North is a diverse collection of artist live-work spaces, galleries, rowhomes, and businesses.

    Maryland Women’s Heritage Center will host the Pomeroy Foundation funded Suffrage Marker in recognition of Edith Houghton Hooker who's offices were on Pleasant and later 817 Charles Street. She was a state and national contributor to the fight for the Vote.

    From May through December 2023, the Maryland Center for History and Culture is hosting the traveling show The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited. Developed by Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI), this 5,000-square-foot, Muppet-filled multimedia exhibition is full of hundreds of objects, including puppets, character sketches, storyboards, scripts, costumes, and film and television clips.

    Two sections of the AIDS Memorial Quilt are on display at First & Franklin Presbyterian Church.

    The display commemorates the lives of those lost to the scourge of AIDS in this, the 40th anniversary of the first public meetings about the crisis.
