  • 2-3 PM // Providing a Charles Street History Walking Tour

    Join Baltimore Heritage’s Executive Director, Johns Hopkins, on a stroll down the middle of the street to get a perspective that we normally don’t get of many of the city’s most interesting historic buildings

  • 1-5 PM // Maryland Women’s Heritage Center will be open for tours, and will be offering an artist exhibit discussion that afternoon.

  • 11 AM - 2 PM // Tours of the Basilica will be offered from 11am - 2pm. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also called the Baltimore Basilica, is a Catholic cathedral completed in 1863. It was the first Catholic cathedral built in the United States after the nation's founding, and was among the first major religious buildings constructed therein after the adoption of the U.S. Constitution.

    As a co-cathedral, it is one of the seats of the Catholic Archdiocese in Baltimore, Maryland. Additionally it is a parish church (ranked minor basilica) and national shrine. It is considered the masterpiece of Benjamin Henry Latrobe, the "Father of American Architecture".

  • Local blogger — and self-proclaimed merriment maker — Mary England will be bringing loads of fun for kids to enjoy. Play with skip It's, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, ribbon wands, hula hoops, bubble machines and more. Enjoy group activities, workshops, and contribute to the gratitude wall.

  • Open House – self guided tour of sanctuary. First Unitarian Church of Baltimore built in 1818 by Maximilian Godefroy, the First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is recognized as the finest American example of French Romantic Classicism . The sanctuary has the distinction of being the oldest building in the United States built for and used ever since, by a Unitarian congregation.

    10am - 12pm // Bubble Party

    First Unitarian will be offering a bubble station set up to help children practice the art of "bubble meditation" and to experiment with all the wonderful ways that we can make bubbles together!

    12pm - 2pm // Seeds for the Future

    Children will be planting native plants to grow their own pollinator gardens. Will use recycled materials to emphasize the importance of conservation and creative reuse.

    10am – 2pm // Chalk the Walk

    Children will be participating in the church’s annual activity of drawing rainbows on the sidewalk in celebration of Pride!

In this program, Tonya Thomas, chef and co-owner of H3irloom Food Group, and food historian Joyce White, author of the forthcoming book Cooking Maryland’s Way: Voices of a Diverse Cuisine, uplift the recipes and histories of enslaved and free cooks who worked in kitchens across Maryland prior to the Civil War.

The Bridge

  • 11AM - 12PM // Enjoy a Walking Tour of Station North with Charlie Duff. Located in the heart of Baltimore, Station North was the first area in Baltimore to receive the State designation as an Arts & Entertainment District in 2002. Meet at the Male/Female Statue in front of Penn Station. It’s impossible to miss!

  • Join Mobtown Ballroom for FREE live jazz music and swing dancing outside on Charles Street, made possible by the Central Baltimore Partnership! Live music will be provided by Jon Tigert and the Corner Pocket Jazz Band. Basic swing dance lessons (no partner or experience required) and performances will happen during a few of the band breaks.
